  • Tijuana mission trip
    Via Immanuel lutheran church

    Every July, Immanuel Lutheran Church (Crystal Lake, IL)  and members of Hope Lutheran Church take an annual mission trip to Tijuana.  The mission trip accomplishes three goals:  1) Building homes for families in need;  2)  VBS (Vacation Bible School) for local children and families, and;  3) Build relationships and share God's love.

  • Hmong international mission to Thailand

    Via brookfield lutheran church

    In October 2025, two members of Hope Lutheran joined Pastor Fung of Hmong International Mission (HIM) and members of Brookfield Lutheran Church to travel to Thailand.  A busy 2 weeks filled with opportunities to spread the word of Christ, teach 29 students, build a church for worship, and proclaim the kingdom of God.

  • guatemala mission trip

    In October 2024, members of Hope Lutheran Church visited Inglesia Lutherana La Santa Cruz in Amatitlan, Guatemala.  The purpose of the mission trip was to help with facility repairs, support the medical clinic, and provide health supplies and hygiene education to local schools.

  • Benjamin and Rebecca Helge

  • Robyn and Walter steele

    Initially, Hope Lutheran supported Robyn for her Concordia Seminary studies at Concordia Fort Wayne - Distance Deaconess program.  She is also a nutrition expert to serve Kenya, Africa next to her husband Rev. Dr. Walter Steele.  Dr. Walter Steele taught Lutheran Seminary in Kenya, Africa.  After establishing a successful and qualified program in Kenya, they have decided to move to Lutheran Theological Seminary (LTS) in Baguio, Philippines.  This was where the greater, critical needs is.  LTS Baguio is the only confessional Lutheran English language seminary is East Asia, and have been without a missionary professor for five years, and the fear is this seminary might go out of existence if LCMS does not assist now.  You can follow them at:  www.steelesinmission.com

    Gustavo Valerarna - Concordia College - Irvine - After meeting Gustavo from the church in Tijuana Mission trip, he is now enrolled in the Cross-Culteral Ministry Center in a training program outside the usual English speaking congregational models in the U.S.

  • LCMS Sheboygan County hispanic outreach

    Hope is supporting a new church with church services and bible studies each week in Spanish.  Pastor Misionero David Blas leads the church.  They are reaching out to the growing Hispanic community in Sheboygan County and spreading the Word of God through the Lutheran faith.  You can view their impact at:  https://www.hispanicmission.org/ourstory-nuestra-historia

  • phillip magness sacred music director in west & central africa

    Hope Lutheran Church supported Phillip Magness while doing missionary in West Africa.  His missionary work has now concluded.  He serves a dual call as Cantor at Village Lutheran Church in Ladue, Mo., and as an LCMS Sacred Music Educator in West and Central Africa.   • rev. dr. samuel lee planting a chinese language service at elm grove lutheran church in elm grove, wi

    When Rev. Dr. Samuel Lee came to the United States more than 30 years ago, he did not believe in God. Now he leads a Chinese fellowship at Elm Grove Lutheran Church in Elm Grove, WI.  Lee also serves as Vicar at the Elm Grove church, where he is under the mentorship of Senior Pastor Eric Skovgaard. The church and the LCMS South Wisconsin District are worked together to support his studies, with the hope that he will one day plant a church for Mandarin speakers in the area.  Currently Rev.     The LCMS Ministry to the Armed Forces supports all LCMS chaplains who serve on active duty, in the reserves, the National Guard, Civil Air Patrol, and Coast Guard Auxiliary.
