Hope Lutheran childrens sunday school

Children Sundays School is on Summer Break.  Children's Sunday School will resume:
Sunday September 28th, 2025.
We are looking for teachers/assistants/substitutes/helps for Children's Sunday School.  If you have any interest, please reach out to Pastor Oswald or reach out via email to hopeavteam2@gmail.com.



On Sunday mornings, Children's Sunday School starts at 10:20 am.  After Sunday Worship Service concludes, children are encourage to get a snack.  Then at 10:20 am, we meet at the organ in the sanctuary for a song prior to going to classrooms.  For 2025, Children's Sunday School runs from 10:20 am to 11:00 am, Sunday September 28th through the Sunday before Memorial Day.


Sunday School is available for all ages.  If you have neighbors, grandchildren, nieces and nephews; invite them to come, or better yet, bring them!  Give your child(ren) the gift of good news.  One day a week for 45 minutes, they can receive a positive message relating to them, their family, faith, and life.  Children are grouped into different age groups to provide age appropriate lessons and activities to learn Jesus; God; the Bible & it's stories; the Holy Spirit; the Lutheran Church; and prayer.  For 2025, the children will divided into:

  • Nursery Roll for children 3 and Under
  • Early Child Education for children ages 4 to 7
  • Elementary Education for children ages 8 to 11


As an added note, if you have a young adult/teenager or know of a young adult/teenager that would like to go through the Right of Confirmation, please talk to Pastor Oswald.  This is extended to those who are not members of Hope, Pastor Oswald would be happy to reach out to them also.  Confirmation is a rite of passage where baptized Lutherans publicly affirm their baptismal vows and confirm their commitment to the Christian faith.  It is a process of instruction, discernment, and growth in faith, culminating in a public affirmation ceremony. 

Nursery and classrooms

A Blessed Thank You to everyone who helped remodel the Children's Sunday School classrooms.  Each classroom has a table with chairs, TV with streaming, and plenty of activities.  Hope now has designated areas to teach three groups of children the Word of God.  The Word of God has such a positive influence on a young child's and young adult's life.  

  • Mount Sinai  and Mount Calvary Classrooms to separate grade school and middle school children.  
  • Mount of Olives Nursery which serves as a Classroom and Nursery.   During church service, if needed, families are welcome to take their children into the Nursery.  Church service will be streamed on the TV so service will not be missed.
  • Pastors Office Conference Table for young adults going through their Confirmation studies.

  • Dawn Oswald

    Dawn teaches our preschoolers. She also creates our online preschool program with music and crafts for our littlest children..

  • Tabra Gomski

    Tabra has a heart for the Lord and for the children she teaches. She assists and substitutes when the need arises  

  • Jaclyn Teuting

    Jaclyn provides Dawn with much appreciated help in our preschool class. She is a delight to work with.
