Dedicated to knowing Christ and making Christ known to others.
What is LCMS?
The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) is a mission-oriented, Bible-based, confessional Christian denomination headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., grounded in Martin Luther's recovery of the biblically correct understanding of the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, namely that salvation is an entirely free gift of grace alone with its benefits accruing solely to those who trust in its promise with faith. The LCMS is a conservative denomination and is the second largest Lutheran body in the United States.
“In grateful response to God’s grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacraments, the mission of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod is vigorously to make known the love of Christ by word and deed within our churches, communities and the world.”
